John Knox
John Knox was the leader of the Protestants in the crucial years leading up to the Scottish reformation in 1560 and is considered to be the greatest reformer in the history of Scotland. He condemned the catholic church and Mary Queen of the Scots before the reformation and spent dedicated his life to the reformation of the church, including authoring a book called "The History of the Reformation in Scotland."
Knox was born some time between 1505 and 1515, although it is generally accepted to be in either 1513 or 1514. His place of birth is also unknown, although again it is generally accepted to be in Giffordgate in England. He trained to and became a Catholic priest, a profession of people that he later called 'bloody wolves'.
